wowww am glad 2 be aswering this question for you now!!!becuz a few months ago i was asking the same question here on yahoo answers!!! and am 14! i was worried why i was 14 and havent gotten my period yet when all my friends had and if it was sumthing that i should be worried about.then 3 weeks ago i got my very first period!!everyone has a different age to start!my 12 year old sister started before me!u just gotta wait and dnt worry about it.one day when u least expect it its gonna happen! and am sure this is gonna be soon!!!

it really doesnt matter how old ur mom or sister was. everyone comes when their body is ready and ur mom and sister starting at the same age was just a coincidence. some people start as early as nine or ten and others dont start until they are sixteen or seventeen! so dont sweat it, it will youll get it when you get it. and trust me, want to keep it the way it is for as long as posible. having ur period is NOT fun. lol =]

that doesn't mean you will have yours at 13 maybe at 14 or 16 family history has something to do with it but not 100% of the time

uhmm ok it realllyy depends on the girl. like im 14 and i had my period when i was 11 so dont sweat it..i wish i wouldve been 13 when i started. Its really not a big deal..just one less thing for you to have to worry about =]

Everybody is different. I started mine when I was 10 years old, but my mom was 16 when she started hers. When you're 16-17 years old and still don't have it, then you should go to the doctor. You'll start when your body is ready.

Nothing is wrong with you. Maybe you take after your dad's side of the family - do you know anything about your grandma's history or an aunt's on that side of the family.

Nothing is wrong with you at all. Many don't get it as late as 15, and sometimes even 16. If you're really concerned, talk to your mom or doctor. :]

i had my first period when i was 12 years old.and it all depends on your body.if you do a ton of sports like gymnastics or whatever chances are you'll start around your early teen years.but don't worry,nothing is wrong with you.it's just that women's body starts at different times and ages.
