I'd watch him like a hawk. -Your instincts are correct.
I'd make note of this to your boss, etc.
There is a spy wear for the Internet but if it is at his job, he probably already has a device that keeps up with every key stroke on his computer. Ask your boss and get your boss to take this in consideration. If it is in his home, I don't know what you can do about that. -Unless you see something that would raise an eyebrow. -Good luck.

Actually, there are more programs out there for computers that protect people like that than there are to catch them. If he were ever accused of something and he was investigated, they can check his computer even if everything has been deleted and find traces of it. Spy ware used by marketing companies to monitor our web browser habits would be a good place to look but it would have to somehow be placed on his computer without his knowledge which probably wouldn't be legal. I would say keep an eye on him, but unless you see a valid reason to raise the issue you probably shouldn't. If you could find someone maybe a programmer or a special group who could give you the spy ware, I know that some can be executed by sending in an email. When he opens it, it will load itself on to his computer and monitor his web browser activity. Then anytime he is on-line it will report back to the originator the information.

I do not know about private eyes for getting into a computer, probably not, I would think it illegal. You do not define what you mean by suspicious behavior, but I would be careful in how you approach this. If you accuse him and he is innocent then you could easily ruin his life. Most states have databases where you can look up criminal records. there is a charge for a search, but it would probably be a good starting place.

Maybe he just likes kids, and maybe he wishes he had some of his own, but doesn't. If you have specific examples of something he's done ot these kids (like invite them to his house, etc.) then fine, or if you know he had "child porn" on his home PC, then fine. But otherwise I think you are really risking making an enemy.

he watches porn and acts like a kid around kids. This sounds like every guy in the world. As long as he doesn't do those two things together.

Maybe he's on a sex offender list? Yeah, there is a way to put that on your computer, but I don't think they allow those things at work without permission, talk to your boss about it, but be very confidential about the name, don't want to ruin anyone's life, just yet.

He could be immature. But he could e worse. If he's doing anything conspicuous on his work machine, your IT department can take a look. They should be keeping all records (It's almost scary how much they can find out if they need to)

stay out of it as you have no evidence stating that he molests children. These are some wild accusations
