Both my husband and I read on the loo. My husband comes from a large family so I can understand why he developed the habit and I went to boarding school. The loo is a good place for peace and quiet.

Absolutely! I could be literally touching cloth and hopping all around my living room looking for something to read when in need of the toilet! Anything at all so that I dont have to read the back of the Jif bottle AGAIN!!!!

I do like to read wots on the wall in public loos, some of the stuff is pure filth but some of the quotes can be very amusing. I sometimes wonder wot folk outside the cubicle are thinking when they hear me laughing.
Theres an idea for a question; loo wall gems,

yes, I have Crohn's disease and being on the loo is common for me for far more time than the average person... Reading is the only thing you can reasonably DO on the loo other than for what I came to do in the first place....
I guess I've read entire libraries on the loo... not the most comfortable place, but when one is there more than one wants to be.... a book is a good escape.

Yes, all the time. In fact i can't go unless i've got something to read. We have a magazine rack in our loo, with wierd and wonderful magazines and books....there's nothing more boring than sitting there wasting valuable learning time!

Yes - I always keep a book in there.
It's the one place in the house I'm guaranteed some peace!
Though I often end up sitting on the lid, or the floor.

yep, i read the odd magazine. i have however started to take my gameboy in too, i tend to sit there longer than usual though and end up with dead legs ha ha so i think i will stop that one. (wonder if i could get my playstation in there}

used to but now everytime I want to sit there for a while my son always seems to need it,can't even have a poo in peace!
