I have 3 greyhounds and I talk to them all the time...they think i'm mad of course but its nice to communicate

I talk to my 2 cats all the time. I tell them how lovely they are, and I tell them what flavour cat food I am giving them.
I really must be losing the plot, though, as I spoke to a spider the other day (told him to stay where he was and not to run across the floor in front of me)

i talk to my pets all the time, i have plenty of them and they are all fantastic listeners. They know when to be loving and when to cheer you up.
I also ask them stupid questions , like what we gonna have for tea etc.
I don't know if they know what I'm talking about but the dogs seem to understand when i say go wake up ..... or go get the kids.

All the time. My cat understands what I am saying from the tone of my voice. I don't see anything wrong in conversing with your pets.

Yes, I'm guilty! I call one of my 3 guinea pigs the "all knowing" and ask her lots of questions. I also like to talk to my dog. Its good bonding!!!!! Plus, animals always make more sense than humans. and they cant yell at you. or give away your secrets!

i have five dogs adopted by me . they were stray dogs.
i talk to them just one sentence when i come home and they are happy. my senior dog sharuk tell me if anyone had come home in my absence or some thing strange had happened in my absence. dogs obey to about ten commands and can understand about 50 words.
i live in india and am a human doctor

Yea I talk to my dog, I know she dosn't understand what I am saying, but she understands the emotion behind it. To her it's attention and she likes it. I would think it was strange if you didn't talk a little to your pet, it's totally normal :)

yes I talk to my animals all the time I know that dogs understand you but not for sure on other pets but I do it any ways
