you want realism? Don't wear any!

Otherwise go with brown tones. brown eyeliner, various shades of the brown family for eye shadow. a natural colored blush and lipstick that almost matches your real lip color.

Unless you want to dress up like Elizabeth 1, in that regard go pale and porcelain, red hair, a foundation 5 shades or so lighter than your actual color, Absolutely White talcum powder and black eyeliner with bright red lips.

You don't really need any, since real makeup wasn't widely used in the Middle Ages. If you insist on having some, use just a little bit of blush, mascara, cover up or foundation if you need it, and natural-looking pink or red lipstick (whichever is closer to your natural coloring). Make sure they're not glittery or shiny or anything- that will make it just look fake.

Make-up was not a very common thing during the Middle Ages. As royalty you would probably apply rouge to your cheeks and perhaps lips. During the Renaissance, roughly 1300-1600, you would see more make-up in use as chemicals and spices from the Middle East became more widely available.

White pancake makeup, rouge on the cheeks a strawberry blonde / red wig if you want to look like queen Elizabeth I. (and black teeth!)

Pale powder, red lipstick, black eyeliner, rouge just on the apples of your cheeks. Maybe a big black beauty mark off your eye or mouth.
