What this means is that if you are eating nutritionally & well balanced meals then it will reflect on your over all attitude, appearance & general health.
It doesn't make allowances for genetic disorders that cannot be controlled by proper eating habits . Such as genetically high cholestrol.
For instance my husband has a weight gain/controll problem.
His thyroid is low which doesn't help. I'm the direct opposite.
I've always been able to eat anything I wanted, and not gain an ounce. Unfortunately I have high cholestrol!
This baffled our doctor.
My husbands cholestrol can be controlled by eating food substitues from soybean. Mine wasn't. We both spent several weeks eating strictly non-saturated fat & low cholestrol foods & switched to soy products as an experiment.
Then our cholestrol was rechecked. My husbands had dropped within normal range, mine didn't.
Our doctor decided to have mine genetically tested, through Berkley labs. Mine is the result of genetics.
Our doctor explained that in my case no matter how hard I exercise or how well I watch what I eat I cannot lower my cholestrol. Only medication can. Of course I still watch what I eat and I still get exercise.
Food isn't the be all end all of what you are!

Definitely! That doesn't mean you're a hot dog or a pizza, but that good nutrition pays a big part in your overall health and good looks. Without the essential vitamins and minerals, you are vulnerable to disease. Healthy eating also determines your longevity. If nutrition were not important, babies would be born with defects. I'm all for eating the right things, and junk food hasn't been a part of my diet since I can't remember when.

No...... why can one person eat plenty of bad food and never gain an once of weight and the other person does?
Take me and my sister for example she probably eats twice as many calories as me a day (she loves her chocolate and sweets!!)and she is really skinny and i would be 20 stone if i ate half of what she does lol!!!

Hardly, I love lettuce (and most other fruit and vegetables ... except potatoes) and detest greasy fried foods, especially chips and yet I'm 21 stones.
