Trying to narrow my search down to one computer, and Dell seems to have a great product, but there have been some negative things about their products. Alienware, seems nice, but is it worth the hype?

i wouldnt worry about the brand ... get the hardware u want and go with whoever has the lowest price ...

Alienware is an extra $1,000 for a pretty case with blinking lights. Get the Dell, unless you really want the imped out case. The only bad thing Dell has going is the lack of technical support, but if you're a decent PC user that's not a problem.

Seeing as Dell bought out Alienware last year because their XPS computers couldn't compete, I would go with the Alienware machine.

little known fact: As of last year Dell owns Alienware! All Alienware support is being redirected to dell in the near future. In basic, Alienware is Dells XPS upgrade!

Alienware is the best gameware computer, all gamers love this comp, uh me included. Love it. I would go for that one but if you are just looking for a good computer without the hype Dells are also really good. (get the alienware wink wink hehehehe

Don't get a Dell. Dells are junk. That's what they have where I work. Other people I talked to that had them say they're junk, too.

yeah it is worth the hype.. alienware is kinda a better computer although i'm a big fan of the XPS..
