I was just wondering if we can pour the hot wax into the little pots (made up of clay..earthenpots) to make scented candles. Will it work good if I paint them with the design I want and tehn make them into the container candles. What kind of paint should I use so that it would be heat resistant.

You can use a special wax called Gel wax. That
makes great candles and you can add coloring to the wax while it is liquid. Yes you can paint the
outside of the clay pot. The heat won't affect the
pot at all. Of course you can always pour the hot
wax first, let it cool then paint the pot. Michael's
or Hobby Lobby carries supplies and instructions.

It's better to make votive candles that will fit into the pots. Paint is not flammable after it's dry, so paint it however you want.
