As others (including some on this site) have said before, just one person who doesn't live up to a particular stereotype is PROOF that the stereotype is COMPLETE NONSENSE.

Why in the world do so many of you swallow the same crap that has been shoved down our throats for so damned long? Race, gender, religion, sexuality, and so on... do NOT predetermine that ANYONE will think, say, or do ANYTHING.

Derek- True. I suppose I was hoping for some kind of explanation from the morons. I should have known better.

the_only_solorose- Yes, that sounds like a good explanation for some. After all, there are many lazy minded people in this world.

$0.02, you're always so damned sexy. LOL!
I'm not talking about split second assumptions. (You do know that, right?) Everyone automatically thinks something or another when they see (or speak with) someone. Human nature... no biggie.
But assumptions that are totally based upon race, sexuality, gender, and so on... Well, they don't "fly" as far as I'm concerned (even if people think they are "positive"). Can't get away from the bull sh1t if you embrace it in any "way, shape, or form". Know what I mean?

Because there are people who fit so nice and neatly into them. Stereotypes aren't all bad. Its just a frame of reference, I think.

There are good and bad stereotypes for everybody. Somebody might meet me and presume that I am a criminal. But they might also correctly presume that I have a big ol' pecker. There are some stereotypes I have no problem living up to ... lol.

A wiser man than I once said "There's a reason why sterotypes exist." As I am not as wise as him, I don't rember who said it. But it's worth thinking about.

the human mind tends to think in known and comfortable patterns. those who persist in such thinking are obviously to lazy to break the comfort they take from their own patterns of thought.

Why do MORONS buy into stereotypes? Um....because they are MORONS. I think you answered your own question.
