No, although I have done it one time, that was so that I could determine if I liked it or not. The main reason I wouldn't is that I fish and I have seen some very mean looking hooks and I know how easy it is to lose those when your are fishing and there is no telling what kind of germs you can get from stepping on one or getting caught in the fishing lines that get lost all the time.

I would swim in a lake if the conditions were sufficiently safe, i.e. I had not just eaten a large meal just before, there was not an underground vent leaking poisonous gas into the water, there were no piranhas or alligators, and there was not glass, needles, or other sharps things which could cut me, etc.

Of course I would, used to do it as a kid like every summer. Actually closest place to swim now is a Lake.

i know its really hard and some times even dangerous but i think i could do it. yes im willing to brave the icy waters of a lake, to swim in it!

I would swim in a lake if I knew that alligators and loch nest monsters were not something to worry about...and if I had a couple of buddies with me.

I do it all the time. I think the ocean is beautiful, but I hate getting salt water in my mouth, so if I am going to swim, I prefer fresh water.
Plus, you dont have to fight the waves.

Yes, we have this great lake not far from us,,,you can walk out forever it seems and the water is soooooo clear!!!
