my name is arran and iam 9 my sisster and frinds call me ra ra and my sisster is only 14 months.
Hi- MUM here! Yes, My son is called ARRAN. I'm from Scotland so i named him after the Isle of Arran. There are many spellings of Arran... Aaron.... Aron.... Arron... if you look in a baby names book you'll see the different ones there. Difference is - people pronounce them different. My sons is like it looks. Aaron can be pronounced 'AY-RON'.
As for the name being shortened - NO, not so far. Yes his sister calls him RaRa!!! But she's just a baby!

I am assuming Aaran is pronounced like Aaron. I guess they can call him Ron.

My godson is called Aaran and since he's been at senior school it has been shortened to 'ran'.

I like Aaron, I've never seen it spelled the way you spelled it though. I also can't think of anything it would get shortened to.

My brothers called Aaron (pronounced Ayron) he gets called aaaran, which annoys him. We have shortened it to Ron, Nora (aaron backwards), Airy, Air but hes 21 and i've had 21 years to think up ways to shorten it!

Aaron is one of my favorite boy names. I don't think it's a name that lends itself too easily to being shortened either.
