What qualities were important in the woman you were looking to marry and do you find you looked for the right things or do you wish your focus had been on something else?

I looked for a women who said she really loved me, who was smart, hard working, bubbly personality, well liked by top people, good family, sexy, clean, fun, church member, goal oriented, organized, classy...
Found that one in 1969. Married her in 1973. Had problems, but still married after two boys now 21 and 25.
Did not get one who understood what love was, so as it turns out does not really love me, but instead was into romance. She did not know how to train children. She did not know how to give a good back rub. She did not know how to be good in bed, She did not like to cook, so is not really that good at it.
now she is on prozac and unreliable, not organized at all gives no good back rubs and gives no sex or even gets naked.

After dating nothing but super hot women I decided not to go for looks and I looked for someone who was more supportive of things I like to do. Someone who wasnt critical and more fun to be around instead of just eye candy.
Well i wish I found someone who fulfills everything and not just a handful of things, b/c my wife has zero sex drive and Im currently looking elsewhere in the loving department. Its very sad...

Friendship, trust, beautiful eyes, fun, understanding, Strength (not muscular strength, mental strength) intelligence, mutual feelings, Love.

was looking for friendship, communication, mutual interest. i figured that trust would have been a part of that. didn't find a woman i could trust

so can't see properly before marriage. so every things look very right! and all in her are what the man looks for in his life at that moment....
just trust and love, for me.
