If ANY gods exist, then ALL gods exist.

How could it be otherwise?

I'm sorry to burst your bubble but the answer is most certainly "no". If you spend enough time researching each major religion and the foundations of it's origin, you will find that they all have been patched together from very ancient civilizations. The same can be said for the groundwork of Christianity. The first known religion was established in ancient Sumeria(yes, the story of Conan came from that culture) and predates the The Bible by at least 4 thousand years. I have devoted many many years to discovering the truth and I have to say that there is none. No religion is real and no god is true. If God exists then no one knows him/her in any true form. Man creates gods, god does not create man.

Coming at from a linguistic point of view: when you believe it you will see it. You can believe many things that have no basis in the "real" world. You will see them all if you want to.
During the times when Zeus was a god there were certainly people who felt as if they had a personal experience of Zeus in their lives.
To see how it works, check out what is happening in your neighborhood. I don't know where you live but just let's assume it is North America. Almost anywhere you will be able to find people who believe in Jehovah. Many will tell you of personal experiences. Jehova has no more reality than Zeus. They are exactly the the same in this regard; they are fictions invented by people. Most people have given up trust in Zeus. And Baal and hundreds of others. Why they hang onto Jehova is a bit of a mystery. If Zeus and Baal are nonsense, as they have the same origin as Jehovah, why hang onto Jehova? They are all equally true to those who believe and equally false in a natural universe where the sun ALWAYS comes up in the East. It is all just putting personal power outside yourself and evading personal accountability for your own life. Ah! Terrible! A society of people who are unaccountable and claim to be doing God's work. How incredibly arrogant.

If we apply Occam's razor to find a more likely explanation of why people have these extraordinary experiences, of that which does not exist in the world of everyday life, we do well to look at how language and body chemistry interact to produce personal experience.

It is clear to me that all of the paranormal things people report are the result of brain chemistry. Most of these states can be reproduced by consciously directed trace formational use of language.

I personally prefer to be in charge of my own trance states and so have given up most magical beliefs. I think others are welcome to see and do as they believe. Each who believes what cannot be true gives away their power.

You ask if it is true? Yes it is true if you believe. Why do you want the disadvantage of believing what cannot be as real as the sun coming up in the East? Why create burdens in your life? Do the research. Think clearly. Live free.

Forget the past tense. Like politicians, Gods and Goddesses come and go in popularity and votes as most worshiped. That doesn't mean they no longer exist. There is a big universe out there.

all the gods exist at least somewhere in human unconsciousness, it's there in our common thought pool.
the moment you say one of the names, it evokes an image and a story within those who hear it. that makes them real. the thing is that like many other gods, they have been replaced, or pushed aside by other gods who had more followers and so disappeared into the pages of "mythology" from where they might return into the pages of "religions" or might continue into the stygian abyss of oblivion.

Well maybe... there is a branch of paganism that still believes in the greek myths, most of them live in Greece (though that's kind of obvious hehe).

Absolutly! I believe that they were real, and I also believe that they still are real even now. I just think that people have forgotten them, but they are there, waiting to be remembered. There is obiviously no way to prove that they existed, but I still believe they are there for us when we need them.
