Yes. Alpaca! Dern it! I knew I shoulda used spell check!
The reason I ask, my mom is a missionary to Peru, and not wanting to insult her hostess, tried cuy.(I called her a "savage." I can't imagine eating such a cute little rodent.) She had no problem with trying Alpaca, being the victim of Alpaca vomit/spit...

I have never heard of cuy, but if it is an animal that is not used for food in North America, no thanks! it'd be like eating a pet. I've seen alpacas and llamas, but would never eat the meat from them.
