The aftermath of an accident. We were driving through Indiana and had just passed the border into Ohio. On the other side of the turnpike it was obvious an accident had just occurred.
A flight for life helicopter was parked on the road (not running). After that, lots of emergency vehicles. And after that, a semi with a silver Chrysler or Dodge car buried under it up to the back seat.
It was quite obvious that whoever was in the car was dead.
When we got back I researched it and it turned out to be a young couple from New York who were on their way to a wedding in Detroit.

A horrible horrible horrible gurt huge spider. I was sat on the sofa and it ran across the floor so I thought I'd go to bed. When I was sat in bed I looked down, and it was sitting on the side of my skirting board (6" high approx). That was the lengh of one of it's legs spread out. It seriously was the biggest spider I have ever seen in my life, and it had a green circular body. I like in England and I'm not used to seeing stuff like that! Must have come over on a banana boat or something.... I stood on my bed and watched it for 4 hrs til it ran out my bedroom door and then I spent the rest of the night baracading my door up with magazines so it couldn't get back in. Seriously, it was nasty!!!!

Not sure it was the scariest thing I've ever seen, but that godforsaken birthing scene in Knocked Up ruined Katherine Heigl's vagina for me, I will never look at it the same way.

The image of an 18-wheeler trying to stop on a dark, rain-slick freeway in my rear view mirror... while I was already braking to avoid wedging my tiny Fiat X/19 under the rear of another 18-wheeler directly in front of me.

Seeing the movie "The Grudge" with Sarah Michelle Gellar, also known as "Ju-On" in Japanese. Big mistake seeing that movie.... nightmares for days! Grudge II came out months ago on DVD. Are you crazy? I'm not renting it or watching it!

I've seen ghosts but not afraid of them. A spider because I have arachnophobia. Yep an itsy-bitsy ol' spider. Go figure.

On my last fire we saw a snake where the fire got to it. The snake was dead but it was preserved perfectly, you can see the diamond back, the rattler and the teeth. It was also curled up in attack mode......YUCK
