I need a good attention getter for a persuasive speech im giving about youth voting. any ideas you could give would be AWSOME!!!

Use a statistic and a question!

Depending on what stance you are trying to persuade use something like:

Did you know that only 2 % of people under 21 vote?
Thus the age should stay where it is..or being raised...or whatever

OR

Were you aware that an amazing 70% of people under the age of 21 vote? This proves that younger voters want to make a difference.... It should be lowered to 16 because blah blah blah...


Use something like that. (P.S. I'm sure you know already but just in case - those are MADE UP statistics!)

Depends which side you are on.
You will want to base your intro a little bit on that.

"Can you do anything about the drinking age??"

OR "Are you old enough to die in Iraq, but not to drink a beer?"
