A couple of my friends and I are interested in auditioning to be on Disney channel (in a show or an original movie, pretty much anything, haha). I found a site for a Walt Disney Talent Search from fall 2006, so I was wondering if they were doing anything like that this year, or if we'd have to go through an agent to land an audition, which is what a lot of people have told me. Any advice? And if we do need an agent, can anyone recommend one in the Chicago area? Thanks! :)

for an agent i would go through Geddes or Baker and Rowley...u know the drummer from School of rock?...Geddes is his agency and Sterling from Disney 365, thats his agency to...btw thats my agency also...but yea ur best bet is for this new show for disney called Wizards of Waverly Place...its gonna air in october...get an agent and ask about this show...o yeah, theres another show coming out in 2008 called Arwin!

Disney channel RARELY has open auditions. that website youre talking about hasnt been updated since 2006. id reccomend to keep checking back there just in case its updated but a better option would be to get an agent. to do that compile a resume of all the acting/performing jobs youve done and take pictures (they dont have to be pro headshots) and start sending them off to respectable agencies in your area...you can find out how to make a good resume online for free!

and all disney shows are filmed in burbank, california. meaning if you want to be on a show you need to live in LA or near LA. i dont know anything about chicago but some good LA agencies are clear talent and bloc. hope that helped.

Anything in the acting industry requires a Talent Agent or a Talent Manager. Have you studied acting?
