I wanted a baby REALLY bad and after 9 years my husband and I had no luck. I finally decided to find a man that looked like my husband and have a one-night-stand and try to get pregnant. It worked. I was going to let my husband THINK this was his baby and hope he never found out. Only one month into it, I felt extremely guilty. I would be lying to him and being deceitful. What sort of a relationship could be built on lies? What if ten years down the road he finds out? He will be hurt and deceived; rightfully so. Is it worth break his heart over? It turned out I lost my baby early into the pregnancy. Looking back, I know it was for the best. That was not fair to him and I'm sure I would have some form of resentment for that child and extreme guilt and hurt when I see my husband. Best of luck with that - I think it is not worth the pain it would cause him and honesty is the best policy ALWAYS!

Thank God I do not. That is completely irresposible and will eventually hurt many people. The real father is being cheated out of the chance to actually be a father, the bf is being duped and will be hurt, and oh...did you ever think of the poor baby??? We have enough messed up people in the world, please don't add more with allowing a situation like this to continue. Stop it now with the truth. Simple as that. A couple of people may be hurt now and it may be uncomfortable for the mother of the baby, but you will save a lot of heartache by being honest, especially that of the poor baby.

no, I don't know any like that. I don't run in those circles. but for women who do that, they need to grow up. it even happens in older women... my step-dad's ex got pregnant with another man's baby before the divorce was final. he took responsibility for this child for 16 years before he died of cancer. the outcome was while the child was mourning the impending death of his "father", the mother told him that my step-father wasn't really his father, and that his real father had died years before, before this child ever got a chance to meet the man who helped conceive him. how sad for a child to be in the middle of this. the good thing is that his "daddy" was there from day one, fell in love with him before he even left the hospital and did everything for the child even though he soon divorced the mother.

No, but if I did...I would voice my opinion. If you love your child, they deserve the truth. You don't play games with the lives of others. It will come back to you...one way or another.

I know of that happening and it eventually came to the light. I feel for the child because he/she's the one who hurts the most.
