But Bill Clinton practiced and supported gay marriage.

He married Hillary, for Pete's sake, a "lady" with a man's name who always wears the pants in the family, not to mention Chairman Mao jackets.

No, that is an apples to oranges comparison. If you are a vocal war supporter of legal age and fit to fight ,and you volunteer to do so, that's having the courage of your convictions.

Liberals saying that gays should be free to marry if they want to does not require then to marry someone of the same sex to show support for that or for that matter get married at all.

This is one of the most ridiculous arguments you could have made.

Liberals say that if you support the war you should go fight, because they realize that war is a mistake and is just harming our troops. The point of saying anything at all is that you fail to understand the needless sacrifices the army is making, and that you should go to war so that you know what its like to be out their before saying that you support.

Gay marriage is a totally different issue. In this case liberals don't need to go out and experience something because they understand the plight of homosexuals. Basically, they're smart enough to understand something without having to experience it.

The whole point of telling someone to go and do something if they support it is to make sure they understand it. Liberals understand the war in Iraq is stupidly costing American soldiers lives, and understand the emotional plights of homosexuals who are unable to wed someone of their preferred gender.

This is conservative 'logic'? It must be, since so many apparent conservatives think it is such a meaningful analogy. But it's not. It's just silly buzzwords strung together for the froth at the mouth types.

It is not liberals who say these this. It is people who are against the war that want to know if those that are for it are willing to fight in it. (Or willing to see their sons and daughters fight in it) A fair question.

As for gay marriage, that is a matter of equal rights. If you ask a gay supporter of gay marriage if they are willing to marry someone of the same sex, the answer obviously would be yes. If you ask a straight supporter of gay marriage if they are willing to marry someone of the same sex, the answer obviously would be no. - But not because they are false in their support, it is because they are not gay. But if you ask a straight supporter of gay marriage if they are willing to see married gay couples living in their neighborhoods, enjoying the same rights that they have, the answer would be yes.

This question made me laugh-

I don't think the question any more is "whether or not someone supports the war" as much as the question is " Can Americans watch Iraq disintegrate into partisan violence and kill their own children with good conscience" apparently there are factions of our society that believe they can watch Iraq self destruct as long as everyone that counts is home safe. Peace has never been free- and it never will be

Use to be attending rallies for womens rights and other groups got you laid .
Now its all militant lesbians and homosexuals leading the charge .
Smart people head down in beverage vending vehicles with shirts for sale saying down with Bush and selling cardboard and markers with 6foot sticks to attach them to .
I install clips on the sticks to hold the cardboard signs in place sold t-shirts and drinks and traveled the country for almost a year back in 2003 made a little over 3 million in cash money and have been retired ever since . Depending on the crowed you can detrmine which shirts to bring . Patriot support red white and blue or down with america and bush shirts
These war protesters really hand out the cash easy .

This is a prime example of how the republicans are "out of touch" with America

thats the extent of your reasoning and logic, all rolled up into one sentence.

What terrible logic. Liberals don't support JUST gay marriage, they (Well, many of them) support the rights of all Americans to be treated equally, including the right to marry the consenting adult of their choosing. That's completely different than what you say. I'd say nice try, but it really wasn't.

Good point! But most are gay anyway

A very excellent analogy.
Does their logic also mean that a man has no say whatsoever in an abortion debate - obviously, he'll never need one.
