Right now I have a GeForce 7600 GS (256mb, 560mhz, 1400mhz, pci-e), but I'm thinking about getting the 8600 GTS, which is 256mb, 540mhz, 1400mhz, and pci-e, but it has 32 pixel pipelines opposed to the 7600 GS which has only 12. Even though the 8600 GTS that i want to get has slightly slower clock speeds, but more pixel pipelines, will I see a large performance increase? I'd be using it to play Halo 2, Flight Simulator, and Age of Empires.

as you can see from the bench marks, it's about 2x the frame rates on most games....and dx10 for next generation.
