is baby oil good for a tortoises sell?? i didnt think it was but some peole use it

It does not need anything like that and it's really not recommended. The shell is living tissue and should be left as it is to breathe. I always see oiled tortoises in magazine photos. I've never understood why people do that for photos, the tortoises end up looking very unnatural.

You should never introduce any foreign chemicals, to any animal without consulting a veterinarian first.

o.O; never heard of that before...but i know at pet stores they sell turtle wax! no, its not a joke, its a special wax type formula made to put on turtle shells to make their shells healthier, never bought it for my turtle thouhg, didnt feel like it
