The rose flower grows at the end of a thorny stalk; it is nature's way of telling us that nothing beautiful comes except after a trail of pain. The beauty of life is found only after obstacles have been overcome. To be born into an easy life and to have an easy life throughout your life is never to appreciate it, yet the beauty is in the appreciation, and not in the thing itself.
