Totally agree. I certainly don't hate the republicans or conservatives, I just see it differently than they do, that's all.

Simply put, when one cannot counter the opposing facts with equally valid information, they will resort to a verbal assault in an effort to place their opponent on the defensive and hopefully take some of the wind out of their argument which might be destroying your position.
For instance, when a party can't get elected on the strength of its policies - they often resort to trying to discredit their opponent (mud slinging?) in an effort to garner the vote for themselves when it is really an opposing vote for the other party, rather than an endorsement for yours.
It must be a pretty good strategy considering the mud slinging so far - and the election is still a long ways off.
It's not "hate" - it's strategy.
Down deep, Americans realize that we are all in the same boat - perhaps we're not all pulling the oars in the same direction, but we're all in the same boat none the less.

Your very own question is an answer unto itself! Why did you single out those bashing liberals but mentioned naught on those bashing conservatives? Why were you so close-minded while you ask us to be open-minded? I think I can agree with the direction you were trying to lean to but the change begins from within and you must learn to be accepting of others, as well, and see that both sides needs to agree to disagree and keep the debate honorable.

The fact is that conservatives and liberals alike come on here to trade moronic insults, ask silly, sarcastic questions and give obviously inflammatory and unintelligent answers. The reason is that many people have simply lost the ability to think for themselves. They have a need to be part of a larger group so they choose the one who has most recently said something that they agree with and mold their ideas to fit a preset ideology. Both sides then claim to be "victimized" by the other, giving underdog status respectively and stirring emotions and making attacks against the other group a rallying point and moral priority.

Bash liberals????
I think the bashing is quite evenly distributed among political viewpoints.
I imagine that people bash because they can say things anonymously without having a live person to disagree with them.

At first, I used to take it casually and let them occasionally do some fun. But the Rethuglicans have the habit of over-doing things and they goto the extent of abusing people who oppose their views. Conservatives stereotype us when it's convenient for them. But squeal when it comes back to them.
So its like they cant handle the same "humor" they target us with. Forget humor, they cant handle the truth about Bush-Cheney.
EDIT - The thumbs down is a proof enough to show how right my answer was. Bulls eye, eh Rethuglicans?

TYPICALLY liberals are good for coffeehouse debates, philosophy and art (of any kind, music, painting, poetry etc.)
They are USUALLY useless when it comes to real world issues that require any kind of brutal honesty such as war and punishment.
I see liberal lenience as the predominant reason that we have gang bangers and pedophiles running our streets. I see liberal pacifism as the predominant reason that we will loose the war on terror and see more attacks here at home. I see liberal pacifism as the predominant reason that Ahmadinejad might have the opportunity to wipe Israel off of the face of the earth. I see liberal pacifism as the predominant reason Hitler was able to go as far as he did when we could have stopped him way earlier.
CAPS used to illustrate the recognition that I don’t paint all liberals in the above categories. I have plenty of great friends who are liberal (I use liberal in the purest definition, not H. Clinton of N. Pelosi progressive/socialist liberals)

Its not hate its an education when a lib ask such a moronic question which really isnt an opinion they need to be taught how moronic it really is and conservatives are concerned that liberalism is destroying our country. You cant use the word bigot here as there are no group of race, sex , or anything like that. There is no hate except on the left and you only have to read the daily kos as I think it is called.
Conservatives call out those ie Republicans when they are going the wrong way on policy and ideas. Liberals dont do this and conservatives would like the libs to be as intellectually honest as the conservatives.
Do we hate libs no its far worse we are indifferent to them. They want to destroy this country and we arent going to let them.

Silly Boy...There isn't that much hate. I will not respect an ideology or a statement I disagree with. The bashing is simply good fun so get over yourself and lighten up before you blow a fuse. It's people like you and their wimpy as*ed ways that don't have any fun and don't want anyone else too. I'll bet you were/are a teacher's pet in school. If you can't run with the big dogs stay on the porch.

Because people don't like hearing both sides of an issue.
It goes both ways Liberals do it to conservatives, but lately it seems so called conservatives on Yahoo are doing more of the bashing the Liberals.
Either way, both parties do it, you really should take anything on here to serious, not many questions on here are serious anyways.
