Need some book ideas. I'm going to be checking all answers. I'd know it's semi-popular when I go to my library's online catalog and all copies are checked out.

There was an author named Paul Gallico who seems to be more and more forgotten. Novels from the late 40's to his death in the mid 70's. Lots of books, hardly any of them bad.
If I had to choose, say, ten favorite novels 4 or 5 would be his.
His best novels tended toward semi-psychological studies of people in tough situations.
If you look, I don't think you'll find him anymore in new prints or libraries. But you can still find them at Amazon and sites like that

Well, I don't know if anyone has heard of these, but there is a good series of books about this boy wizard named Harry Potter...

Just kidding. When I was younger, I really enjoyed a series of books by J.D. Fitzgerald called the "Great Brain" series. It's about a boy growing up in Utah around the 1890s, and it holds up well for adult readers as well. They are light, fun reads, and at times very touching as well. I've had trouble finding them in bookstores, but your library may carry them.

Some of my favourite books are Molly Moon Stops The World. It's a children's book, but it's fun. There are other Molly Moon books too. Another book that I love is Love Undercover. It's a good book for teens and children in you like adventures and love. It's PRO!

"The Decameron" by Giovanni Boccaccio

It's an OLD book, but it's a great one. It's a story about 10 friends who leave a midevil city to get away from the plague, and every day one of them is in charge of the entertainment, so each day they have to tell a story, and this book is the book of their 10 stories and what happens to them while avoiding the plague

Kane & Able is really good. It's not a bible story like the names suggests .. its about two guys and how their lives intertwine. Think 'Crash', but on a smaller scale.
If you're just looking for a fun book - the Phantom Tollbooth is great. I read it in the 6th grade (years ago !) and it's still one of my favorite books. I recommend it to everyone.
Anything by Vince Flynn - I love the way he writes. Also, Dan Brown's other books (besides DaVinci Code) are really good too.

"Bridge Across Forever" by Richard Bach. He wrote "Jonathan Livingston Seagull", but this book wasn't nearly as popular.

For totally obscure, try "The Thread That Binds the Bones" by Nina Kiriki Hoffman.
