I was wondering that also. I think it's simply because Vick is African-American and they like to jump on things that are big in the news so they can get attention. I have seen no indication that Vick is being targeted because he is African-American. If the NAACP tries to turn this into a race thing they're going to further damage their credibility. They should focus on real, actual cases of racial discrimination not just try to jump in the spotlight. Sharpton has done that repeatedly and has now become a joke.

I was wondering this myself! It's like saying the Hair Club for Men is getting involved! I don't see what the NAACP has to do with it at all!!! Actually, I find it offensive that they are involved.
They are doing it just because of the color of Vick's skin. Um someone VERY famous and INTELLIGENT once said "I have a dream that my four children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character."

Has the NAACP lost credibility with this? i think of they lost credibility somewhat some time in the past. If it replaced into needless to say an argument of racial prejudice, which would be one element. If there replaced into no reason to have faith that he replaced into accountable of the crime, there may well be no reason to kick him out of the NFL (or droop him, because of the fact the case may well be). the actuality of the subject is that the stack of info against him is tremendously incriminating. might desire to he play soccer lower back? it particularly is a good question. look what he's complete along with his first hazard. And all and sundry who might desire to show screen him after this and positively get "hours of delight" from it needs their head examined. It sounds to me like the guy's have been given a case of the "crazies" and desires to spend some time on that, faraway from society, the place the only ones he can attempt to torture and abuse are adult males that a minimum of stand a wager of scuffling with decrease back. i will think of of a minimum of one man or woman who at present have been given a reprieve in a case that needless to say warranted not in undemanding terms expulsion from the usually used public section, yet entire imprisonment. not in undemanding terms did OJ not get the punishment that have compatibility the crime (for which he's clearly to blame), then he went out and tried to sell a e book approximately how he might have killed Ron and Nicole if he had accomplished it! What an asset to society! What a shining occasion of what's suitable with the international! If Vick did it there isn't any way he might desire to be allowed to set foot interior a stadium lower back, as the two fan or athlete, and he particular as hell shouldn't get to funds a verify for it. If he did it, he might desire to flow to penal complex for an tremendously long term. If he does this **** to canines, think of what he'd do to a distinctive man or woman, given the possibility. Throw away the key...

Neither the NAACP or PETA care about the Dogs. They need publicity and money. PETA has killed many more Dogs than Michael Vick!

Dawgs, yes. Dogs, no. Why it has to be a racial issue is beyond me, I didn't even know who he was, heard about it on the radio and thought he was an idiot. Green, purple or orange to be the second highest paid player of a game and to blow it on something as stupid as dogfighting. Moron!

As someone else pointed out, the NAAAA (Colored people is an offensive term) have a mission to keep black people from being judged on the content of their character. They get richer when they can cry racism.

I agree with the one above answer. He's black and a celebrity. If it was just your every day black person, they wouldn't bother. No publicity in it. This way they can stick their noses in it, makes matters worse, and get a bunch of media attention. Shameful. The attention should be focused on the crime, not the color of the skin the person who committed it has.

He is a black celebrity, they want attention, if he was a black homeless or poor black man they would not care.
