best route from valencia to barcelona - Spain ?

Question

what is the best way to go to barcelona from valencia - car, train, bus or air? If we go by car, can you suggest the best route to take and places to stop by? Thanks . Prabha

On RENFE, the train ride is 3 hours and costs about 38,e.
Many trains daily. Check on renfe.es
There is one 5-hour train a day for 21,e.
If you rent a car, there is an expressway E15/A7 that goes down the coast, but usually a bit more inland than highway 340, which would be slow, but more picturesque. The drive would also be from 3 to 6 hours. You could take the expressways until you get well outside of Barce, then take the coastal hwy. until you get close to VLC, then back on the expressway.
I'd take the train.
I do't like buses, but they might be cheaper.

Depends on the kind of traveler you are... I'd rather drive along the coastline -I don't remember which one, but I know for sure there's a highway along the Mediterranean Sea. It'd take you longer, but you can stop wherever you want and admire the views... small cities, natural parks, beaches. Otherwise, I'd take a plane, it'd be cheaper than a train for sure. But maybe you like train better.... check here if you want to get an idea:

-for Planes: ryanair, vueling, easyjet -these three are low-cost companies-. Regular airlines: Iberia, Spainair, AirEuropa...
