I think Yahoo should pick several hundred people that get screened to be monitors. People volunteer to be a monitor get screened and then all reported violations get screened by these folks instead of the automatic system in place now. After review the monitors can decide if a violation has indeed taken place. What are your thoughts?

That sounds like a very intelligent approach to the serious problem at hand. How nice it would be to be able to simply ask a question without the question being reported or deleted. I would volunteer to be a monitor if this happened, and I am sure there are many of us that would do this. Great idea Sawman, and have a great day.

good idea if it would work, but there are people who click that "report abuse" button simply because they don't like a particular user, and I'm sure the monitors wouldn't be above that
