It is too soon to get into the race. This is the first time in our history that it has begun so soon. Hilary is hopeful that she will run the other candidates out of money and she will be the nominee this way. Fred Thompson won't throw his hat in the ring until probably November. He will save a ton of campaign funds that way. There is no reason to start so soon. Every voter will be bored with the whole thing by election time. And that is Hilary's plan.

Less time for mud slinging against him. Possibility of momentum from people focusing on him later in the race. People will not be tired of seeing/hearing from or about him by the primaries like they will the others. Also, perhaps a few drop out before he gets in which means he has fewer to beat. There are a few good reasons. I think he is smart.

Has he finally introduced it, or is he asserting that he will announce it? Wait, did not he announce that he replaced into going to make an fact approximately asserting his candidacy? Or replaced into there an fact formerly that? i'm so excited besides! different international places make history with the aid of electing a woman as chief--united states of america of america has made history with the aid of electing a chimp and can perhaps be on a thank you to electing a basset hound! i won't be in a position to attend to confirm what would be next! The Republicans have have been given this finished animal topic going!

I would guess that the real reason Fred Thomson has not joined the race is because it is way to early to campaign. By the time that he starts in the fall (which is the normal time to start in past campaigns), he will get all the attention because American's are sick of hearing about Hillary and Barak in the news already.

Let the liberal republicans eat each other. Let the leftist democrats get complacent and over confident. Then win with the American people. Watch the issues that people care about most. He is with them on every one.

Personally, I think he is trying to draw out all of the criticism of him and to get everything out in the open as soon as possible. Let's face it, so far, he is either running #1 or 2 depending on the poll and he has yet to declare. I think it's a brilliant idea.

If you jump in late the less money you have to spend and the less debating (in the media and elsewhere) you have to do. His plan is to try and skip all that.

Comming in late might give him more momentum for the actual campaign, and it avoids any negative campaigning in the primaries. Or, he might think better of it and not run at all.
