Okay, this is vague as hell, but it's driving me crazy. I kept hearing this song on our local alternative station and have been trying to figure out what it was called and who performed it. I thought it was weird that it was on an alternative radio station because it sounds exactly like a song from the 50's. I can't remember any of the words, but I do remember it featured a lot of stereotypical sounds of 50's pop songs. It was about a young couple, I think there was a wreck somewhere in there, someone may have died, and I'm pretty sure there was a car or motorcycle revving in some parts of the song. Wow, that more vague than "he wears t-shirts... sometimes". Sorry I don't have more clues, but if anyone knows the artist or the title I would be greatly appreciative.

Last Kiss by Pearl Jam... maybe?
It's a cover of a very old song and it's about some stuff you mentioned like a couple that crashed and someone died.
It does have a stereotypical sound.. 50's or early 60's.
