Ok im planning on going on the pill .. how long will it take for it to kick in ?
I mean when dont i have to be worried about getting pregnant ??

Keep in mind that the pill is not 100% effective and you should always use another form of birth control, like a condom(which will prevent std's as well)
The pill will take about a month to kick in, providing that you remember to take it everything on time and keep in mind that some medications (especially antibiotics) affect it as well.

It will take at least a month. Until then I would use an alternate means of protection. And remember the pill is only 99% effective, there are still women who get pregnant while on the pill. It happens all the time. Luckily not to me yet, lol.

According to the insert inside the pack of pills you need to use a back up method such as condoms for the first 7 days Try really hard to take your pills at the same time everyday and you should not have any problems.Hope this was of some help to you

Contraceptives including Pills are not 100%, so you should always worry about becoming pregnant while having sex.
You will be "fully covered" (i.e. 99% effectiveness which is the most your pill can promise) after a few weeks on the pill.

One month then it will kick in. U won't have to worry to much about getting pregnant unless u forget to take the pill. All it takes is one time and u could get pregnant.
