A higher power-yes. Has it not, overall been organized religion that has first come to the aid of people and countries, in need of help all around the world. Have they not also helped to be check and balance, on corrupt governments, corporations, and organized crime. Rid the world of all organized religion, and what will we have left a better world???? I think not.

they certainly exist, sometimes they're organized by the state sometimes they're organized by an organization. Though i've always been a fan of disorganized religion.
note: organized religion gives +2 gold in all cities with state religion and allows you to construct missionaries without a monastery.

I do believe that the intergalactic council of the The Great Celestial Deity is the most organized religion in this quadrant.

I believe it exists but other than that, I pretty much think badly of it. Most of them. They do serve some purpose, but mostly they serve as a repository of preset answers - provided so that one doesn't have to think for him or herself.
Here's some unwonted advice: If you decide to hang out in R&S, you might want to change your shoes. They tend to be a bit like prisoners who've been behind bars for quite a while. (On the other hand, that can be fun!) And be sure to come back here to cleanse your palate. Many of them are quite grim and will depress the hell out of you.

Nope. I think that why should we have to believe every single thing that this religion says is right & we can't have a different opinion or question anything because we should have faith about something someone said 200 years ago.
Its like...say you are Catholic...but you believe in same sex marriage, your not Catholic then.

It exists but I certainly don't agree with it...there are too many ways to abuse the power that comes with organizing a belief system and history has proven that it has already happened and current events show that it is happening, now.

Use to - but no longer believe, nor follow any organized religion: am now greatly leaning towards the philosophy of Buddhism-there's NO God in Buddhism.

Yes. I compare my community's youth to the regular world and I see that even if at times we seem restrained and "deprived" we're really much better off.
