I am curious as to how pregnancies affect the appearance of breasts. Will they get bigger, smaller, saggier? Does is make a difference whether or not you breast feed the child?

How your breasts look eventually depends on heredity. If your mom and grandmother had saggy breasts, there's a good chance you will too. If they were small chested you probably will be too.

Pregnancy will make your breasts larger temporarily and if you breastfeed, they will stay that way until you stop. But they will eventually return to a condition similar to pre-pregnancy once you stop breastfeeding.

It would depend on what type of implants you have. Saline and silicone both have advantages and disadvantages. The saline kind are heavier so there's more of a chance you'd want to have them redone - even without a pregnancy. The silicone kind are lighter and more dense and they're placed behind the breastbone. Another thing to consider would be your exercise routine. If you do a lot of running or jogging, the chances of your breasts sagging over time is quite high. A good workout that includes keeping your upper chest muscles strong might help. Bottom line, as the years go by, either kind could likely result in sagging breasts.

During the pregnancy, a woman will probably experience an increase in the size of her breasts. They will also become larger if you choose to breastfeed. Some women who breastfeed experience their breasts going down to a size that was smaller than their pre-pregnancy breast size.

As for whether it's better for breast feed a child instead of feeding him/her a store-bought formula, I don't think it matters too much, honestly. Some people will tell you that breast-feeding is better for the baby's development, but the majority of mothers of people that I know didn't breast-feed and turned out just fine. My mother didn't breast-feed me, in fact, I was lactose intolerant as a baby and had to drink soy-formula and I was perfectly healthy all through my childhood to the present.

I cna only speak from a personal experience, mine got larger during pregnancy (obviously through the milk coming in etc) they were at their largest a couple of days after birth when they were full of milk, and of course i breast fed and they got sore. If the baby doesnt latch on correctly and doesnt empty the milk from the breast you get mastisis which is inflammation of the breast tissue, they get hard and red and very very sore.

After breast feeding they will return to around about normal size maybe slighty larger then normal (mine are larger then before i got pregnant, went from a B cup to a C cup) but they will be saggy after breastfeeding.

Well, I've had 2 children both breastfed and in my opinion they get a bit saggy... I had big breasts before I got pregnant about 48 DD and breastfeeding has made them go south.. They were huge for awhile and now that I'm on the tail end of BF my 2nd son, they have gotten saggy... So, I invest in quality bras. However, I wouldn't change breastfeeding my children, it's a good bonding experience and it's better for baby although not the best thing to keep the "girls in tow".. Oh well you can't be "perfect" forever !

Well, i'm 30 and have 3 kids. I had my third 9 months ago. During the pregnancies they grew, but then they shrunk. I now wear an A cup. they are tiny!! But that doesn't bother me, I don't want big breasts. I didn't breast feed either.

My breasts were 44DD BEFORE I got pregnant with my first son. They 'grew' to 48DD when I was pregnant and nursing him. They 'shrank' to 36C after I weaned him, and they stayed 36-38C through all four of my 'other pregnancies' ... but now because of weight gain, they're 'back up' to 40D ...

The 'truth' is that some women's breasts 'grow larger' and NEVER change, whether they breast feed or not, while other women's breasts actually 'shrink' after breast feeding and 'stay shrunken' through later pregnancies and breast feeding or not ... and the ONLY WAY to tell what 'may' happen is through 'experience' ... I know that's a 'drag' but it's also the TRUTH.

during the pregnancy they get all hard and the wife doen't want you to touch them because she says it hurts, and yes breast feeding will make them saggy if you have big breasts in the first place

Breasts become larger and then engorged with milk. If you decide to breast feed they will stay that large until you stop breast feeding, and then they will stop producing milk, and then sag.
