To me, wealthy and rich sound like the same thing. You are wealthy (or rich, if you prefer) if you have assets that produce more than enough income to cover your living expenses.

Rich and wealthy are not the same thing they both mean having alot of money but rich being were you have considerably more money than just being wealthy Wealthy means you have money to be able to spend freely and still afford to live and survive, being rich is were you have more money then you need to buy things you want to an extent were you can have mostly anything you want. It is human nature to want more and more, we are competitive even from the cave men era, we fighted over meat and women and other things like rocks some believe being a type of currency! so in this day and age money is something we all want so we have no worries and have an ego boost! people buy things like ten cars because the like to show off how rich they are and enjoy a different drive for different occasion because it makes them feel good about them selfs to be honest it stops when they go bankrupt! lol

The following is from a website and i think it sums it up nicely :

Tenets Of Wealthy Living
There is a major difference between being rich and being wealthy. And the definition varies for each individual. To me being rich is having the financial means to obtain any material want that your heart desires. Wealthy means having a enough of all the essentials in life – love, good health, friends and family, spirituality, and of course, money. It is a shame to have all the money in the world and yet be so bitter that you can not enjoy the money that you have. Being wealthy has varied dollar amounts based of what YOU think is enough to make you happy, but the dollar amount is not the key.

In the United States, it's all about what tax bracket that you're on. If a guy owns a million dollar home with the nice rides, desperate house wife and the kids are in private schools, then he's considered rich. If you're a songbird actress that owns three multi million dollar homes, a hotel, jet and yacht, with another two hundred million in cash, banked, then you're wealthy. Don't get me started about tax write offs and stuff like that, because if you're not wealthy, then all you do is breathe the air and pay taxes... What difference does it make? Everybody in this greedy *** country just want to get rich, and then that's not enough. I've met poor people much happier than the rich. If you're rich inside, then you're just rich anyways.

A rich man can loose all his money and he will stay poor. A wealthy man can loose all his money but he will re-gain his money back. Rich usually deals with only money. Wealthy deals with money, spirituality, morals, social life, and family.

Mc hammer was rich. Oprah is wealthy

Chris rock described wealthy and rich a little different:

"For Chris Rock, being wealthy means having financial holdings so immense that they can be passed down through generations. "Shaq is rich," he said, referring to the Los Angeles Lakers' Shaquille O'Neal, "but the white man who signs his check is wealthy. Oprah is rich, but Bill Gates is wealthy. If Bill Gates suddenly woke up with Oprah's money, he'd slit his throat."

You can be middle-class and still considered to be wealthy. Wealthy is when you have lots of things you take pride in - whether it's a weatlh of family members or collectables. I think rich is just money.

RICH to me would mean never to have to think about money or money being an obstacle in the way of me doing things....on the other hand you see so many people that have no worries about money and they are not happy.... so if rich equals sadness i,d rather be skint.........

do you think having loads of money would change you?
