The Dems held Congress for 40 years...25+ years since LBJ started his "war on poverty" and his "GREAT Society." They didn't accomplish anything after spending trillions of dollars, and they still ask us to put or keep them in power so they can end poverty.

Clinton was only a great negotiator, I mean think about it he lied to a grand jury and senate investigating committee, and got away with 1) charges on rape, 2) charges of sexual harassment, 3) perjury, (of course this was not the first time he or, Hillary, had gotten away with lying) 4) a divorce, ( now what is up with that, If I did that my wife would slap divorce papers on me so fast, and she would own everything I had. Hillary is a looser, or wait, maybe she was doing some guy or gay ???too !! and couldn't open her big trap) any way you put it, I do not think that any president can stop poverty, welfare, comprehensive health care, illegal immigration, or anything else as far as that is concerned, because it is not on the agenda of the CFR, (council of foreign relations) and Builderberger Boy's, or the European Commonwealth program, otherwise known as THE ONE WORLD ORDER. We have to understand also that," WE THE PEOPLE", have let the powers of government do what they want instead of what we want, if we do not stand up we will loose this country all too soon.

It is so simple! Bill Clinton had a REPUBLICAN CONGRESS AND SENATE!
So just exactly how did you expect him to get much done! I am amazed he managed to get the things he got done accomplished!
And the last thing Clinton was is a failure! Today, he is STILL more popular than Bush is!
Clinton balanced the budget, and left a surplus, which Bush promptly gave to his rich and even wealthier friends! As for Welfare, Rep.controlled cong. and sen!
Illegal Immigration? The same problem exists today! How do you round all of them up? And what do you do with them after that? How do you keep them from coming back? Are you going to turn the Land of the Free into the home of the 'we dont; want you, stay out'?
And comprehensive healthcare? Hmmmm! Well since no one wants to pay to insure that ALL have it! Good luck! If we weren't fighting an illegal war, all that money could have been used to create something for healthcare! But since it is gone, we will never know!
And it seems to me, that when ' the Great' whatever Reagan was in office, we had very poor (poor)! And we had very RICH (RICH! and never did the twain meet! And just what else did the GREAT man do? Oh yeah, its all coming back to me now! Something about ARMS AND SANDANISTAS?
Wow, what a legacy that was!!
And lest we forget TRICKY DICKY? Please! Don't start with the pot calling the kettle black! We can throw it right back at you!
And Don C is my new favorite hero!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

let's see, because Bill Clinton left office January 2001, and it is now July 2007. Let's see, that's 6 plus years of George Bush and the Republicans in control of the house and senate, not to mention all the Congressional blocking republicans have done since 2006, when the Democrat's took over. This falls into the category of another stupid partisan question. So I'll spell it out for your simple mind, Bill Clinton was not president after January 2001, anything that happened after that time is George W. Bush's fault. He is the president. Again, another conservative neo-con with a single digit IQ asking a completely stupid question. Marry outside the family.

Hillary tried for Universal Healthcare and was pulverized by a Republican congress. Wake up, they don't care about poverty and only complain about welfare and illegal immigration to get people all riled up! If they really cared, don't you think something would have been done about it? Republicans had control of congress for HOW long? And no one could come to compromise on ANYTHING?
LOOK AT HOW OUR ELECTED OFFICIALS STAGNATE NOW. MORE THAN 70% OF AMERICA WANTS OUR MEN AND WOMEN OUT OF IRAQ. WHAT'S THE HOLD UP?
Most politicians are phonies. Period. If you think Clinton was a "failure", what do you think of our current president? Is there a word worse than "monster"...? (650,000 innocent Iraqis have died since we invaded Iraq, by the way.) I'll let you answer that one.

Clinton ran this country to the ground, cutting the military and not protecting our homeland and left the next administration in such a mess with 9/11 and putting the nix on capturing Bin Laden, but as the man said before me, you are singing to the choir.

It's very hard to say. The reason being is that in the 1970s there was no Nixon owning "The Internets". If America was given the Internet in the 70s, I'm sure there would be equal flaws found between Nixon & Bush. Bush & Cheney's corruption is puzzling, because it's so out in the open. If we see what they do in public view, imagine what they have going on in private.

Clintion did not have world peace on his watch!!!
First off Clintion had terrorism during his presidency, but he was to busy being a pimp. Here's a walk down memory lane of terrorits attacks during the CLINTON SCANDAL YEARS.
1. 1993 Bombing of the World Center, What did big pimp do? Nothing
1993 Clinton fires 93 U.S Attorneys some of the attroney's fired were probing Dems in scandal, and Bush get attacked on firing 8.
1996 Khobar Towers, 19 Airman Dead 300 wounded, what did big pimp do? nothing
1998 2 U.S. Embassy bombings in Africa, What did big pimp do? Nothing
1998 Attacked Iraq Facilities that were supposed to have had WMD, CWMD. Same intell Bush and the U.N. Hd
1998 Sudan offered Bin Laden on a silver platter to us, Big Wille was dealing with Monica and according to Liberals and Bill Mahr it's ok to cheat on your wife. So, Clinton said he wasn't a threat.
1998 Treaty with North Korea to stop building Nukes. Was suppose to be he his landmark. All along right under his nose the North Koreans did what they want and continue to do what they want.
Bill Clinton is only U.S. President in history to get his Law Licensed ripped away.
Also don't forget about his Prejure Charges
2000 U.S.S. Cole what did clinton do nothing.
2001 9-11 it took 6 to 8 years to plan and train, and organize 9-11, who was president during 99% of that time BIG Pimp Bill Clinton.
Is that enough examples or terrorism on Bill's watch?
Now all you left wing liberals are gonna attack me and attack Bush, but let's face it the Clinton presidency was all about scandal, WHITEWATER, Jennifer Flowers, Monica, yeah let's bring back another like that. Just what we need scandal and wife cheaters sets a great example.

If you say so it must be true. Now apply the same criterea to Republicans. After six years of Bush and a Republican controlled congress will still have poverty. welfare, no comprehensive healthcare, illegal immigration and all of the other problems no republican has ever solved.

For the same reason we STILL have those problems under Republican leadership, who have done no better. Find me one Republican President that has solved any of these problems either. These are perennial problems that exist within each Administration that is elected. The fact that NONE of them have solved any of these problems doesn't make them total failures. There are other matters as well that count in the bottom line of deciding who is a success or failure at the Presidency. Considering the mess Bush has created over the last 6+ years, it makes Clinton look like the best thing we ever had.

uh....is that how we evaluate presidents? Based upon utopian standards that few could meet. Also, remember he had a hostile Congress for 6 years. Bush, with a friendly Congress for six years, did not end povery, solve welfare, or healthcare, illegal immigration, or any other problems they sought to. So....what if we actually asked the question about whether Clinton (and other presidents) made the world a better place while in office. Wouldn't that question provide a better answer.
