I have only just realised that I have only stored everyones telephone numbers in my mobile phone, if for some reason it breaks or gets stolen, I wouldn't know any of them.
I should keep a copy somewhere else, just in case.

I wouldnt have a clue!

There is a gadget you can buy though, It reads your sim card and makes a note of the numbers on it just in case anything happens to your phone. There's one here: http://www.iwantoneofthose.com/usb-sim-card-reader/index.html
Much easier than writing all the numbers out.

I wouldn't have a clue what my friends numbers were if I ever lost my cell phone... I do have my address book, but some numbers aren't in it.. Although, I do have addresses and some e-mail addresses.. I just recently updated my book with everyone's address I should get phone numbers as well. I have a list of everyone on computer so when I send out Christmas card, invites etc...I can find everyone all in one place... Good luck

I would be hard pressed to even tell you my WIFE's phone number.

Backup is quite essential.

But then again, I once lost all my phone numbers, and only input the numbers I knew, and when people called me. Just because you have their number in your phone doesn't mean you use it. When I found my old phone, I looked through the address book and didn't find a single number I wanted.

You can store to the sim card 250 numbers.

Some wireless carriers like Verizon have a back up system for phone numbers.

Some stores can print out your phone book for you.

Definitely, I lost my phone once and didn't know any ones number. I lost around 12 contacts which I never got back.
Just write them all out. It may take a while but if anything happens you will be SO glad you did it!

Not a chance, I only just remember my own mobile number and I've had the same one for 8 years.
I really should write them all in a book. In fact I think I might do that this evening - there's bugger all on the box...

Take a trip to your local cell phone store and ask if they have a Cellebrite system. If they have one they'll be able to copy your numbers to a disc for you and also print out a copy of all your stored numbers.
Sprint offers wireless back up, This feature allows you to back up all of your contacts to the Sprint Nextel Web site and restore them if your phone is lost, stolen, damaged, or replaced.

Yeah I would lose a lot of people's numbers. Mainly the people I don't talk to on the regular. But I feel if they are my friends they would eventually get back in contact with me. Besides, you don't lose your number along with the phone you know.
