Really yes, I think you can squeek by with with 8 gigs You will not be able to store several games or movies I have no issues with my computer and I have only 12 Gig

It really depends on what your going to use it for. If you have lots of music/photos/videos, download stuff a lot, or play lots of games, then try going for a 160GB or 250GB HDD. If you just surf the internet and write papers, then it will do just fine. I would suggest keeping all of your important media files on an external Hard Drive, so if your laptop were to crash, you have everything important.

60 gigs is a lot - but it depends on what you will be using it for. If you will be writing a lot of papers, doing a lot of research etc. then it's probably a good amount.

But if you are doing a lot of graphic art work, for example - you need much more.

There are larger drives out there for a reasonable amount of money -- if you need bigger.

Depends on what your going to use it for. Really, I would recommend 120 for a laptop at the minimum.

Not if your in to digital music and digital photography. It's fine if you keep both music and pictures on an external drive.

Depends on what you want to do with it. If it's for music and videos. Its a good size to probably all your stuff

no. not @ all. hard drives are very cheap now. get a 120-160gb hd
