Depends on the situation...
If you are hurting people by your actions then you should stop immediately, but my mother always used to say that you can never be considered a failure if you never stop trying.. So with that said if the thing you are after is important enough you should never give up (Unless you are hurting someone that is)

Never! I will not go gently into the night. If I believed in giving up, I would not have come back from WW2 without a scratch.

I want to say never give up, but the truth is it really depends on the situation. So my answer is, when you just can't take it anymore.

when you think that you've already done everything but still nothing happens. when you still pursue but it ignored..
when it is to much and kinda destroying your own personality and it hurts you a lot its no no no.. when you do everything u can never say that you give up but you never give up at least you can never and nobody could blame you because you've done youre part well. no regrets!

I think that when you think it is to much stress, hard work, you get the point. I write poetry. and I have just the words for you.
quiting does not mean you are week, It just means that you are strong enough to let go.

well in general you should never give up, but if what you are trying for is interrupting the way you live your life maybe it's time to let go and move on.

All depends on what you're talking about...I'll NEVER give up on my family. An argument....If they can't get my views and it seems like they never will..I'll throw in the towel.

I would like to say never...but sometimes never is a harsh word. Maybe till you get tired and have exhausted yourself. Maybe take a break and rest.
