If honey bee don't produce honey surely they are not pollinating flowers and consequently trees cannot produce fruits, if this happens, would be a tremendous worldwide catastrophe and the life in almost all the forms wouldn't exist due to breaking of the food chain.

Do you mean what if real honey bees stop producing honey?
If so then it is a great question. Honey Bees on Strike? or queen bee ask for raise in overtime? everything is possible. I liked your question. I wish I could give you 1000 points for this question.

The honey bee scare was largely hype. There is a shortage in some parts of a world now , but this is a periodic thing. They believe it is a viral disease that is causing the epidemic. Bees are not the only insects to pollinate crops. We will survive.

I think we can live without honey, but what would pollinate our many crops? Bees are vital for this function.
