As far as I'm concerned Ferrari don't have a case.

McLaren didn't ask for this info, didn't use the info, in fact it didn't even get to the team chiefs.

If they want to press charges against anyone they should charge the guy who stole the data.

But they won't do that because HE WORKED FOR THEM

What is the difference between one team manager being unaware of one of his employees sending documents to someone else, and another team manager being unaware that those documents had been received by one of his own employees?

It's a case of pot and kettle surely?

The FIA ruling was left open enough for Ferrari to pursue the matter as a criminal or civil case in the courts, which tends to suggest that the police are not too involved in the matter, because Ferrari have appointed Lord Stevens (how the Ferrari people need British people!) to investigate the spying claims.

Stepney has appointed his own private investigator.

So far, Ferrari cannot show that the information has been used on the Maclaren cars, and if you care to thing about it, they could not have totally redesigned the new car in the time available before the season started.

Ferrari are upset that their moving floor (a cheat tactic involving aerodynamics) was outlawed, and are trying to blame Maclaren for gaining an advantage over them due to prior knowledge. This is the whole basis of the Ferrari claims, but perhaps the greater thruth is the fact that another team has caught them up and now leads the championship, after so many years of complete Ferrari dominance.

I suspect that there is much more to this than is being told, and I certainly wouldn't put anything beyond Ferrari.

As for pressing charges, they will first have to find and present evidence, which thus far, they have failed to do.

The FIA were quite right not to resolve the matter in anyone's favour, but leave it open pending further actions and investigations.

The FIA still reserves the right to call McLaren back and punish them.

My thoughts, and hopes are that after the investigations are completed by the Italian authorities, the FIA will then reconsider their position. It doesn't seem like they could have done much before these were completed. However, they found it obvious that McLaren IS GUILTY, but perhaps a proper punishment couldn't be determined until after these investigations.

It's most def. not going away. And it seems to me the only people who are accepting this are McLaren, McLaren fans, and Bernie.

Italy is going to go crazy during their GP weekend. My only memory of Italy is seeing a caravan of soccer team buses on the way to a game and people... going crazy. This, I imagine, will be like that, but x40.

This latest row is going to cause mayem.Had errari been ahead then it is doubtful if this case woulkd have had an airing.Their wasnt a bigger cheat than Schuuy was their. As for Ron Dennis he wouldnt cheat at snap cards. And do you really beleive Mercedes will take this lying down they are an all mighty force and not to mess with.Should Mclaren get a ban then possibly they along with other teams will start their own F1 league. This has to go away and fast all hell let loose if our Lewis is banned tell you.

It's not going to resolve anything. I think F1 has already shown its bias. The WMSC ruled that Mclaren was guilty of possessing another team's data and left it at that. It should have either ruled it was guilty and punished them or concluded it was not guilty. This half-assed verdict should leave any team steamed.

Press expenses? No ... asserting recommend issues approximately somebody isn't a criminal offense ... that's the character of "pressing expenses". in spite of the indisputable fact that ... you could desire to sue the guy in Civil court docket for damages under the rulings of Libel (written words or pictures) or Slander (spoken accusations). in case you will win in a court docket you could desire to get a economic judgment against the guy and an order for them to end and desist (i.e. end). yet know this ... it particularly is demanding to tutor libel or Slander. the burden of evidence is on you ... and you will possibly desire to tutor that a million. The accusations are fake ... in the event that they call you a thief ... and you somewhat stole something then it particularly is actuality so which you won't be in a position to sue them for libel or slander. 2. you will possibly desire to tutor that they did it with the purpose of wounding you ... i.e. ... not in undemanding terms an accident .. it had to be on purpose. 3. you will possibly desire to tutor which you have been particularly broken with the aid of it ... i.e ... if what the guy pronounced stopped you from getting a job ... it particularly is an particularly injury. If it in basic terms "injury your thoughts" .... that isn't good sufficient ... you will possibly desire to have been led to extreme injury. Freedom of speech is a double edged sword at situations ... yet ... it somewhat is nevertheless greater effective to have loose speech than not have it. good luck.
