Many women complain of "flu like" symptoms before they go into labor, although doctors haven't said that these are for sure signs. Diarrhea is common to have before going into labor. Your cramping may be braxton hicks contractions, and if you are having them more often this could also be a good sign that you may be getting ready for labor. The snotty discharge sounds like you may be losing your mucus plug, some women will go into labor within 48 hours after losing it while others may take up to 2 weeks.

Just try to relax and take it easy, b/c I believe you'll be in labor any day now. Of course, if your water breaks, or you have any type of bleeding, call your doctor b/c you will be going into labor! Good luck!

Sorry to rain on your parade, but the 'snotty discharge' meand you will have the baby in the next several weeks.
Soft stool probably has nothing to do with anything.
EVERYONE is cranky and tired at 38 weeks!
I don't want to depress you, but I don't want you to have false hope, either.
With my second son, I passed SEVEN mucus plugs, and still had to be induced.
IF:
1] you have contrations five minutes apart, from start to start;
lasting at least 60 seconds, and as painful as a foot or leg cramp, call the doctor.
2] if your water breaks [ does not smell like urine ], call the doctor.
3] if you start bleeding like a period [ not just spots ] call the doctor.
4] if ther is a decrease in fetal movement, call the doctor.

Sounds like your loosing your mucus plug. And are having some Braxton Hicks.
If your in labor it would be the very early part.

Try to take a nap. The rest is good for you. And may relieve the cranky part and the tired part. But your pregnant.....lol it may not.

Could be signs of very early labor... but it could also be that you've spent 38 weeks pregnant and you'tr cranky, tired and sick LOL Hang in there. It sounds like you may be getting closer to having that baby!

all good signs that is soon to come. however some women stay this way for a week others only for a couple of hours. i would put money on the fact you'll have a baby by weeks end. if you want labor sooner than later you can help it come on. clean the house from top to bottom, have GOOD sex, stay active. worked for me and both my kids were born at 38 weeks! good luck

the snotty crap could be your plug. Not really a sign of labor but for sure a step in the right direction. the only thing you really mentioned that I would think, would be the cramping. Is it coming and going.... then yes, I would call my Dr and see what the think.

sounds like early labor. The snotty discharge is the mucus plug, and once that comes out, soon good labor should start.

The day before my water broke, if you had asked me if I was going to go into labour I would've given you a resounding NO.
There really isn't anyway to tell..but I know it's fun to try to see. Enjoy being pregnant, seriously, I was majorly depressed after the baby because I missed being pregnant SO SO much! Take pictures, video, everything. Go nuts.

Sounds like early labor signs to me. Congratulations! Hopefully those cramps will start coming closer together and you can head to the hospital to be checked out.

Sounds like it to me!! Once the cramping is more intense and about 5 minutes apart, you need to head for the hospital. Good luck!!
