Seems that's all the neocons have left in their arsenal...they certainly have no facts!

JimSock--you are very articulate, and make many good points. I just hope we can agree to disagree.

I see that the troll who once apologized for being so harsh with me, is back...and being harsh. We disagree, Dude, deal with it! No one in Washington care about your opinion, either! Only the man who took an oath to uphold the Constitution and then called it a "g-d piece of paper" is listened to. Get it straight, 'cause it's a flat fact!

EDIT: Articchick, I believe the asker knows the difference between neo con, conservative, and republican. She chose her words accordingly and addressed it to the right people.

It's a way to marginalize people with another opinion. Once you marginalize a group of people to something that makes no sense to the mainstream, you can ignore them as kooks. If you are "Anti-American" you are therefore at odds with the 300+ million people in America. So, you're opinion doesn't matter.

This is similar to people on this board using the term "Neocon" several times an hour. Since a neocon is someone who has perverted conservatism to the point where they alienate both the liberals and conservatives in a quest for power. Using the term marginalizes them to their own corner since they are out of step with the entire political process.

Around here, we just call 'em liberals - nothing more needs to be said. The liberals that move up here want to turn Alaska into whatever overcrowded rat hole they came from. They move into rural communities, then give the long-time locals, who hunt, trap, fish and mush, nothing but grief because those activities don't meet with their leftist ideals. Don't believe in hunting, fishing, trapping or mushing? Don't move to Alaska.

And you do realize, don't you, that neocon does not mean Republican? Or conservative?

Anytime you want to debate facts, post a real question instead of an opinion. There are a lot of people on here who are idiots, but there are also quite a few - on both sides - more than capable of debating facts with you.

so you lump all neocons in one category? and you are the only one who really has the 'facts'. i think that you listen to the rants of the most passionate on both sides. the 'neocons' do not have a monopoly on the name calling.

debate is healthy and part of our political process. name calling just denotes the most desperate and frustrated which ever side their are on and they look for 'facts' that support their viewpoints.

one should be wary of making such broad sweeping statements.

Bullies accuse others of bad behavior to draw attention away from themselves. Name calling is the only way to defend indefensible behavior.

Speaking of casting aspersion:

Every time the left examines Fascism in America, they refer to it as a certainty that is masquerading as something else, surreptitiously pervasive in society, hidden due to American transigence, or, my favorite "Beyond the visual"
They use words like: secrecy, denial, and disinformation desperately trying to prove a negative.

They compare any expression of patriotism to xenophobic fear of foreigners.

Any thought or mention that citizens should take responsibility for their own condition is an egris disdain for human rights.

The mere suggestion that the military be made stronger and a more efficient use of tax dollars is perceived as an expression of nationalism, and a tool to assert national goals, intimidate other nations, and increase the power and prestige of the ruling elite.

If you say the words "Traditional Values” you are adamantly anti-abortion and also homophobic.

If you contemplate that a news report may be biased toward the left you are advocating total mass media control.

The mere mention of national security and you are obsessed with oppression and creating an instrument of the ruling elite to hide excess.

If you go to church on Sunday you are doing nothing more than trying to hide the fact that the ruling class is at odds with the precepts of predominant theology.

Suggesting that deregulating an industry for the sake of higher employment is really the ruling elite ensuring military production and creating a means of social control, commandeering the personal lives of have-not citizens.

Expecting that free speech should be used responsibly is akin to the oppression of unorthodox ideas and dissent.

If you've ever advocated bringing a criminal to justice, according to the Fasophobics, you are also advocating the unchecked power of the police and rampant abuse.

A little old lady in Florida didn't push hard enough and left a 'hanging chad' The lefties would have us believe that this is maintaining control of the election machinery, intimidating an disenfranchising opposition voters, destroying or disallowing legal votes, and, turning to a judiciary beholden to the power elite.

Crying Facism is a leftist scare tactic like absurd conspiracy theories are.

Facism is "Beyond the visual" because it's just not systemically there in America, never was and never will be.

You couldn't be more correct. They argue from a purely emotional rant. They confuse patriotism for one's country with blindly following a despot in the White House. There is nothing logical, nothing rational and nothing reasonable about their political positions today. The funny thing is that you don't have to be a liberal to know the facts. They think all the people who criticize Bush are liberals or leftists only. they think all the people who think we should have a Universal health care system are democrats or socialists. The fact is alot of these people who do this are conservatives themselves. The funny thing is that these Bushies don't even know what is going on in their own party let alone the facts of the arguments. I sometimes think that they've completely lost their minds or they just seem totally incapable of using the minds God gave them.

Kind of like us redneck greedy trailertrash rich white homophobic closet homosexual fascist reactionary warmongering bigot NASCAR-watching corporate New world order gun-nut bible-thumping chickenhawks get called names here, without any facts?

Actually, most of the leftist posts are simply trying to cast aspersions upon anything Bush, Republican, conservative or Christian.

And you whine about receiving the same treatment back? Bah!
