No. and you're not being paranoid.
You're simply being un-original, and posting as yours, an old & tired steroetype/joke that's had more laughs say, in the 1950's when Chinese restaurants first hit the scene. Maybe 20 yrs ago, you might have got a laugh about a Vietnamese restaurant and dogs.. but, being that it's 2007 and you, youself and anyone reading this has already eaten Chinese food say, 100+ times at least... this is just dopey.
You have more to worry about, I mean if you READ news online or in papers.. about where the beef, chicken, etc. in your fast-food and what your mom makes you each night comes from, how it's fed, where butchered, etc. etc. -- as in reality over cornball humor. But, some people will whore for the pts. and agree with you (it is Yahoo, after all).

I think you're being paranoid. The Chinese people I know insist that eating dogs or cats has never been a part of their culture. Several of them have pets that are spoiled rotten!
Besides which, all the restaurants in the U.S. are governed by the rules of the board of health. I don't imagine that there is a health code for the proper cooking of a dog or cat!

hmm. i personally never worry about it. look at it this way. if someone feeds you dog but you don't it's dog, and you love it. why freak out about it? it's to late.. you've already ate the dog and tho you could throw up the dog it still won't get rid of the taste ( which you enjoyed btw) so don't worry about it. just enjoy the meal.
ps: by no means am i telling anyone to go out and eat a dog. i'm just saying don't freak if you do.

no, i secretly hope i might.
but seriously. in the west they wont do it because they're controlled by the ministry of health and it's too much of a hassle do off the dog or the cat.
in the east dogs are actually more expensive than pigs so why put expenisve meat if u can get cheaper one?

I think you are just being paranoid.
And even if it is cat or dog, the locals have been eating them for years without problem so it isn't going to kill you. Besides, what makes eating cat or dog any more repugnant than eating cow or bird?

Lol, Cat and Dog are considered gourmet in Chinese and Korean cuisine, and much much more expensive than beef, do you honestly think they will give the good stuff to you?

Well, I've heard stories, so yes, it always goes through my head. But I just eat it anyway. I mean, is cat or dog meat really gonna hurt you anyway? It's a little sad to be eating your favorite pet, but the meat itself is not going to harm you.
