Um I think im starting to get pubic hair. I shaved down there and its growing back, black straight hair. And lower down, its light and curly. I havent started my period or anything. Is it pubic hair or isnt it.

Yes it's pubic hair, a precursor to menstruation. You will also get hair under you arm pits & your breast should be starting to grow, if the haven't already. :)

Yes it is pubic hair. It is a sign to show you you are developing and maturing. Your period is near. You don't have to shave pubic hair though. You can't tell in a bathing suit unless hair sticks out. AT that point I would recomend just shaving the sides, not all the hair. Remember: The more you shave, (usually) the faster it'll grow back and/or be thicker hair.

That would be called pubic hair. It comes in different colors, and textures. If you shave, it will grow back darker, and thicker, and it will be itchy!
Just because you haven't started your period and your already getting pubic hair, that doesn't mean anything. Most girls get pubic hair well before they start their period. You get pubic hair as you go through hormonal changes of becoming a woman and during that same process you will get your period too.
If you ask you Mom when she got hers, you will probably get yours around the same time. I started getting pubic hair down there many years before I started my period, I was a "late bloomer" If your active and in many sports, and small breasted and small framed you'll probably be one of the last to get yours like I was.

Sounds like pubic hair to me. Normally, the pubic hair comes before the period does...just one of the changes that your body goes through during puberty.

Honey, if it's hair, and it's on your pubis (or mound), it's pubic hair. And yes, the hair usually comes before the blood, but not always. Sometimes, underarm hair will grow in after pubic hair does and menstruation begins.
Also, between us: 1) Shaven hair growning back in is enough to drive one out of one's mind! Bad idea. Bad, bad idea. I'll never do it again even if my bush grows out under the legs of my jeans and I have to braid it. Trim it, okay maybe. Shave it again? You couldn't pay me. 2) Most men like pubic hair, and LIKE their women to look like women, not prepubscent little girls. End of story. Get a clue, girl! Do some studying. You're going to be a woman for a long, long time to come. Learn about it!

Yes. Any hair down there is pubic hair. You can get it before your period.

Dont worry you are just becoming a woman. But on another note if you shave your pubic make sure it is with a fresh razor so that you dont get razor bumps.

Why did you shave if you didn't have hair there in the first place? It is definetly pubic hair....what else would it be??
