I'm into music, not as much some but definitely more than most and musically speaking every generation is filled with posers. There has never been a shortage of tacky musical tripe.

Even musical greats have their bad moments. One friend, a huge Frank Sinatra fan was shocked when I found a copy of Momma Will Bark, Papa Will Bark. It's a novelty song by Frank about his aching feet in a pair of tight shoes. It's so bad. You'll cringe and laugh at the same time.

Don't worry about what other people are listening to. Find what you like and enjoy it. Don't be a music snob but then again no one is forcing you to listen to Hanna Montana.

Look you probably don't think MCR is original at all.....but unfortunately for you it's the closest thing to originality since Green Day used to tour back in the 90's (and i was born in the 80's if you're wondering if i was just another poser....)!! In some ways every generation has it's posers, but it does seem like it's getting more difficult to find people who are uniqe or original.....

Um, do you think it's possible -- JUST possible -- that people might actually be different, and that others might just have different interests than yours? You know, that whole mysterious and annoying idea that people are individuals, not lemmings.

I don't know who or what a "Hanna Montana" is, but I'm certain I wouldn't be appalled to see someone buying her/their CDs.

No sermonizing intended, but you might actually feel more relaxed if you didn't spend time trying to cram every one of your peers into a small box.

yeesssss!I'm from this generation too and I think that all of today's mainstream music is really bad.I'm into alternative/emo/scream/metal/rock stuff.I find that like FOB has good stuff on their first few albums but 'infinity on high' was a disgrace to punk music cuz it was just to make money from the poser crowd.Hannah montana is really big, all the disney stuff is but i don't like it.It's like trying to bring britney spears and aron carter back.I think that people should try some good music, like death cab for cutie or bullet formy valentine.

Absolutely.

But Its not there fault. It the Producers who want to milk a trend/formula and not bother to find pure original talent.

The artist are chosen they will sing what they are told and more importantly sign away most of their rights & royalities.

Not pure, but a very high percentage of cocky immature posers, yes.
