Yeah. You stay up forever and study think you know everything, inside and out....but turns out you mixed a few things up, or just didn't know it like you thought you did. Talk to your professor and ask him/her what happened? Set an appointment to discuss the test and let them know you tried really hard, some professors wont change it, but if they know you have a real interest and care in the class, next time around they may take it easy on you.

I figure that I usually have a chance at getting 100%, but I never get it unless I'm positive with practically all of my answers. I'm not a very lucky guesser. A 78 would have been a C+ in my school. Teachers might say that a C is average, but it doesn't seem like it.

No, I have never gotten a 78 in my life. The lowest grade i have gotten is a 96, but I usually get 100s because i work hard and i study. The key is you should not over study. If you over study you are basically asking for a 78!!!

well I thought I did well, but the professor told me what more he expected for a better grade and I did well from then on

yeah that happens all the time..like after the test you feel so confident and you thought it was easy then you like barely pass. i get so confused when that happens...
