Is plutonium man-made or organic? How do they get it?

There is almost no naturally-occurring plutonium Earth. It is mostly man-made.

Plutonium can be made in nuclear reactors. The uranium fuel rods (uranium is naturally-occurring) emit neutrons, and if these neutrons are absorbed by uranium 238 atoms, they can change into plutonium 239 atoms.

it's transuranic-it is a by-product from running a nuclear power station, you can't mine it or refine it.
