This is such a great question!! ( I can see why you made it to level 6 ) I sit here and said the nursery rhyme over and over and you are right, it doesn't say anything about him being an egg. Maybe when he fell and couldn't be put back together again, people just started thinking he was an egg??

It doesn't. Back in 1810, Humpty Dumpty (a derrogatory term for a clumsy person) was posed as a riddle. It was basically asking what kind of "humpty dumpty" could fall and never get put back together (the answer being an egg). After the riddle's answer is so well known, it because a nursery rhyme.

it's doesn't. I, too, have wondered this many a times. but the rhyme goes; Humpty Dumpty sat on wall, Humpty Dumpty had a great fall. And all the kings horses and all the kings men couldn't put humpty together again.

Humpty Dumpty had a great fall (by the way he was an egg)
A lot of people overlook that bit because it spoils the rhythm of the song

I think it said he was Ova sitting on the wall. *shakes head* See how things get misinterpreted?? It was that darn southern accent that made us all think he was an egg.
