Evolution.
At least there is proof of the evolution theory whereas the only "evidence" that says God did it is the bible. While the bible is a good read, I believe it to be a work of fiction.
I realise I will either receive a good few thumbs down or a violation for this answer but since it is only my opinion, to which I am entitled, it can't be deemed to be wrong by anyone.

Really...? Evolution is how humans and all other species of life on this planet came to be in their current state.
Despite what bri claims, there is not a "certain" amount of evidence supporting evolution, there is a mountain of evidence from genetics, to biology, geology, paleontology, and pretty much every other ology you can think of. People who claim that evolution is just a theory are simply misunderstanding what the word "theory" means in science. They use the lay definition which is not, by any means, the scientific defintion. By their definition, gravitation theory would also be "just a theory".

Evolutiom. Against the Genisis story which is an illustrative narrative based at least partly on truth and not without some common sense . God could have done the lot in seconds if he had wanted to. Why should he when he has Eternity?

Evolution. I suppose people will just keep asking this question, which probably says something about the terrible state of education in the US. Evolution - the answer is evolution. Should have learned this in 5th grade, if not sooner. How exactly evolution works is debated by scientists - whether evolution works is not debatable. Evolution.

As a "Deist" I am, however, still convinced that evolution is the answer.
However, as to what, who, or ? created the universe I have no more idea than anyone else.
It is the start of the process of total existence that mystifies me. Was there a start, and if so how, or are we in a circular progression - in which case, again, how did it start?
One of my more outlandish thoughts is that the whole universe is in a "test tube" for a more intelligent race.
Another sees us in an inside-out world with infinity at the centre. (I will expand upon this theory if asked nicely!)
Or, I suspect, there is another yet unheard of explanation - which we mere humans might never understand!
What a deep question! Thank you!

No one really knows - they are both only theories.
Evolution appears to have a certain amount of evidence to support it but it leaves many questions unanswered.
The Jehovas Witnesses have an interesting publication called 'Did Man Get here by Creation or Evolution' and it will give you a lot of the unanswered questions.
Of course it's always possible that God created the evolutionary process.
There are othe theories as to Mans arrival on the planet, similar to evolution but not the same.

I tend to go for the theory that is supported by evidence. So in this case, Evolution.

To me it's highly evident that everything was created by god. The thing about science is that it's always revising itself. It's always updating itself with new information. When I look at this world, it's seems perfect-too perfect to just evolve out of nothing. To me it's very obvious that it was created by god. God is not some old man with a beard, he is force that created everything.
