I tend to forgive others much easier then I forgive myself. Even when the other person deceived me and took advantage of me I am more angry with myself for not detecting the deceit and allowing myself to be naively persuaded by them.

It's EASY to 'forgive' someone else (although it may not be 'true forgiveness') but it's very, very difficult to forgive myself. I TRY every day, but still get 'occasional twinges of guilt' over things so 'long past' that I can't 'do anything' ... but I do KNOW that all that I have NOW is a 'gift from God' despite all of the mistakes I've made ... and in fact I wouldn't have the 'good life' I have if I hadn't made those mistakes ... and since GOD can 'forgive me' and give me this 'grace' I guess I just have to forgive ALL ... the people who 'did bad' to me, and myself for 'accepting that bad.'

I find it harder to forgive myself and move on from situations even if I have told someone else I hold them responsible I usually don't and I secretly hoard all the guilt deep inside.

Somebody else. When its yourself, your know the thoughts and feelings that were behind whatever you did that needs forgiving, so therefore you know what to change in order to forgive yourself. When its somebody else, you dont know that information, so it makes it much harder.

I think that it is harder to forgive myself, I just feal that I am such a mistake and I hate to do things wrong. When someone else does something to pisse me off I usually forgive them soon after.

I have a real hard time forgiving myself for even the most minor of things. I’m constantly being told not to beat myself up for things that are outside of my control. I put up a pretty tough exterior but I’m actually all softy.
Other people will get forgiven easily but the deed will not be forgotten.

I find it harder to forgive myself than another. I tend to overanalyze things, especially decisions I have to make that will affect my future, family or those closer to me.
Given that, if something fails based on my decision, I tend to beat myself on the head (not literally). Although, after a few hours of pondering, I let it go.
But when it comes to someone's dishonesty towards me, it's one of the most unforgivable things in my life. Family or friend, no one is spared.
