the X = times sign

the numbers are exponents and the minus signs are negative signs!!

help me with what that equals!!

When multiplying exponentials with the same bases, all you need to do is add the exponents.

So -5 + -3 + -2 = -10, which means your final answer is a^-10

a-5 X a-3 X a-2 = a^(-5-3-2) = a^-10 =1/ a^10
